Ohhhh Nellyville....

Just so you peeps know, my Nelson page is already coming along nicely. But I kinda want to stick with our original plan and make the website - seriously, it's not that hard, and its way more impressive.
I reckon I could finish it in a weekend (easy) including my reviews for a movie and for music. By weekend, I mean Sunday, coz I work through the weekend, and by Sunday, I mean next Sunday because I have three assignments due next week. We can totally stick with the blog, but I think having an actual webpage with a link to our blog would be much better.

Just my humble opinion.....

I would also offer to do it all myself, but I need the raw skills of Web Master Grey-Ham.

  • I see what you mean - but I think we kinda need to meet again to sort out whats the homepage, and what the point of what etc. Coz why bother with a district page if it connects to nothing??

    If we are using the blog as the homepage (if so, how can we jazz it up, or can we get a new one elsewhere, coz it kinda looks like 4 kids who don't really know what they're doing set it up.....) then we need a link to our page for movies that we all contribute too, a seperate page for music, and if we are doing districts, then a seperate page that has a picture of NZ and we can click on an area which then takes us to the district site.

    See what I mean??

    I heard about Lonely Girl, apparently people got real pissy when they found out it was fake. But I wanna know how they got such a big audience.....

  • I am especially not fond of Palmy, or anything today. Another crap day, another fuck-load of assignments - and I couldn't sleep for 5 hours last night because a certain foreign flatmate and his friends were TALKING AND PLAYING MUSIC FUCKING LOUDLY ALL FUCKING NIGHT. I finally got up at 2am to ask them to shut the fuck up, when I discovered that all the lights were on, and the room with the music BLASTING had been abandoned. So I turned the music off, and the speakers off, and the lights off - and went back to bed, where I couldn't sleep for about another hour because I was so on edge.

    Then this morning we found the front door hadn't been locked when that same someone re-entered the flat.

    Magical.

    Only another six weeks to go....

    You didn't answer my queries. Should we meet up to discuss?? Because I don't know what's what.

  • Thats the thing, it wouldn't be double the workload. I don't think you understand how easy it is.

    Me and my friend made a website when we were about 12, as easy as it is for me to write this comment - is how easy it was to make that site.

    My last assignment before this (assignment 3) is due october 13, which gives me a lot more time to work on it if you guys are still flat out. I just don't see the point of doing a half-arsed assignment when we could be doing a really good one.

    Timmy - I'm getting my hair coloured at 11 tomorrow, so although I should be finished by 12, chances are I wont be. Do you wanna meet up at 12.30 or even 1 for coffeeeeeeeeee?? Lemmeknow

  • I don't want to be the dickhead that says "fine, I will do it on my own, and I quit this" because that would not be fair on everyone - but that's how I'm feeling about this at the moment.

    So I think another meeting is needed ASAP to get it all sorted, before it becomes obvious in the marks that not everyone was happy with the final assignment or felt pressured into following along.

    And at the meeting you can see my hair, just got it coloured - looks fabulous. BUT NO TOUCHING!! That requires dinner first.

  • I'm happy with the blog. I like the website idea, but as Angi said, it's a great idea but it's also a big idea and to truly do it justice we would need more time. I don't have a problem with Roz going ahead with it and linking it up to the blog, but I also feel that we can use the ideas we were having for the website as articles that we just post as blog entries. I mean, that's what I was thinking of trying to do..... What do you guys think?
